tokyo! – highly recommended by us. do watch this as soon as possible as i guess it would not be showing in the cinemas from next week. by the way, you don’t have to be arty farty to watch this. just sit back and enjoy this extraordinary film.

the hero is hikikomori. like many others in japan, he has withdrawn from all contact with the outside world.

the word ‘hikikomori’ caught my attention the most.

hikikomori. (“pulling away, being confined”, i.e. “acute social withdrawal”) is a japanese term to refer to the phenomenon of reclusive individuals who have chosen to withdraw from social life, often seeking extreme degrees of isolation and confinement due to various personal and social factors in their lives. the term hikikomori refers to both the sociological phenomenon in general as well as to individuals belonging to this societal group.

liang is the merde.

we are not great photographers, and you could see that. well, we could see that too. just hoping that someday we will be, and we are still trying. the day when we are impressed by our own work will be the day we are. it might come, it might not be. whatever it is, the picture is still gonna be in our frame.
